Dave and Fionna meet

Dave freaking Strider.
Dave Strider, who thought he was so cool. Who always tipped back in his seat and wore ridiculous shades and never gave a crap about what anyone thought. He just walked around like he owned the place. Fionna always hated how in second period he would tip his chair so far back that he was nearly touching the front of her desk. And how in third period, he always took up half the table that they had to share. She hated that dumb smirk he always wore on his face and how exceptionally cool he was about nearly everything.
They never talked much, but when they did, it was brief and Fionna always felt like an idiot by the end of the conversation. Because he was just so chill and she tripped over words like a horse on an ice rink.
Marshall Lee and Gumball were the only people who sat with her, and usually they always argued about nonsense. While Dave had all these friends to talk to and sit with during lunch. John and Jade and Rose and Terezi- oh glob. Don't even get her started on Terezi. Loud, obnoxious rude and always following Dave around like a small dog. Those two knew just how to get on Fionna's nerves.
